On his first U.P. grouse and woodcock hunt, Briar of Wolf Fork Canyon had his first real point of woodcock. Here he retrieves his woodcock with lots of praise from owner, Dave Read.

After Dave Read crippled this grouse, Briar tracked it about 60 yards through blow-downs with Dave crawling and climbing to keep up. Not bad for a 4 1/2 month old pup! Here Briar carries his prized bird.
